Maddy is an absolute joy at 17 months--and such a big girl! She is getting better at saying words, learning colors, numbers, animals and animal sounds. She has mastered her puzzles and asks us to dance every evening (she's got some good moves, just like her daddy!). Here are a couple of new tricks at 17 months
Can pull off her own socks/shoes
Knows to sit down to put on socks/shoes
Can point to her eyes, nose, mouth, head
Waves and says buh-bye to all cards, people, etc. when they pass
Picks up the camera and says "cheeeeese"
Politely closes doors whenever she leaves a room (or her toy car)
Pushes stuffed doggy "for a walk" in stroller
Says please/thank you
Gives kisses and makes her doggy give kisses, too
Picks up the toy (or real) phone and says "Hello?"
Can go up and down stairs in house (with a helper)
Right now, her favorite foods are pasta, turkey sandwiches, cheese, and apples. Her favorite shows are Sesame Street and Barney, and her favorite toy is her small stuffed doggie. 17 months has been a very exciting age for us and we can't wait to see what the spring brings! We love our little "Tripp!"
